Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 August 2026

These terms are a plain-language agreement between you and Job Buddiez covering your account, the work you run through it, and how money moves when your customer pays an invoice. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. Who this agreement is between

"Job Buddiez", "we" and "us" mean the operator of this service. "You" means the tradesperson, business or crew member using the account. "Your customer" means the person or business you send a quote or invoice to.

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter contracts. If you sign up on behalf of a business, you confirm you can bind that business to these terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your login, for keeping your password secure, and for the accuracy of the profile, business and crew details you enter. Tell us straight away if you think an account has been accessed by someone else.

You may invite crew members. The account owner is responsible for their use of the service and for removing access when someone leaves.

3. What the service costs you

Job Buddiez is free for tradies. There is no subscription, no per-seat charge, no trial that expires, and no fee deducted from your invoice totals. We do not require a card to open an account.

We may introduce paid add-ons in future. If we do, they will be optional and clearly priced before you turn them on. We will not start charging for a feature you already use for free without telling you in advance.

4. Processing and financing fees

We earn our revenue from payments, not from you. When you send an invoice through Job Buddiez your customer chooses how to pay. If they choose a digital payment method, a processing fee applies to that transaction and is added to the amount your customer pays. It is not deducted from your invoice total.

The fee is disclosed to your customer on the payment screen before they confirm, shown as a separate line from your invoice amount. Current rates are published on our pricing page. We may change them, and any change applies only to payments made after the published rates are updated.

The fee covers the payment provider's costs and our platform margin. If your customer pays you in cash, by cheque, or by a bank transfer you arrange yourself, you can simply mark the invoice paid and no fee is charged to anyone.

Financing is offered by third-party lenders, not by us. We are not a lender, a bank, or a credit broker acting on your behalf. Approval, interest, fees and repayment terms are set by the lender and agreed directly with your customer. Where a financing option pays you up front, the lender's terms govern that payment.

Some jurisdictions restrict or prohibit passing card processing costs to the payer, or require specific disclosure. You are responsible for confirming that the payment options you enable are lawful where you and your customer are located, and for the tax treatment of amounts you receive.

5. Payments, refunds and disputes

Card, bank and financing transactions are handled by regulated third-party payment providers. We do not hold your funds as a bank and we are not a party to the underlying contract between you and your customer.

The work, the price, warranties, refunds and cancellations are between you and your customer. If you refund an invoice, the processing fee already paid may not be recoverable; check the payment provider's rules. If a payment is charged back or reversed, the amount and any associated provider costs may be recovered from you.

Payouts, payout timing, identity verification and any account limits are determined by the payment provider under its own terms, which you accept when you enable payments.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Job Buddiez to invoice for unlawful goods or services, to process payments that aren't for genuine work you performed, to launder funds, to test stolen card details, or to send content that is abusive, deceptive or infringing. Don't attempt to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section, and we may report suspected fraud to the payment provider or to authorities.

7. Your content and data

Your quotes, invoices, job records, photos and customer details remain yours. You grant us the licence needed to host, back up, display and process that material so we can run the service for you.

You confirm you have the right to upload customer information and job photos, and that you will handle your customers' personal data lawfully. Our privacy policy explains what we do with data.

8. AI features

Buddy AI produces suggestions — estimates, material lists, draft text. It can be wrong. Check anything that affects a price, a safety decision or a commitment to a customer before you rely on it. Suggested figures are not professional advice and are not a quote we stand behind.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service running but we don't promise uninterrupted availability. We may add, change or retire features. If we make a change that materially reduces what you get, we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Job Buddiez and close your account at any time. You can export or copy your records before you do. We may suspend or end an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or where we are required to by law or by a payment provider.

11. Liability

The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost work, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or a nominal sum. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your rights under consumer law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes such as a change to how fees work, notify account owners by email or in the app. Continuing to use Job Buddiez after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms: hello@jobbuddies.app or via our contact page.

This page is written for clarity, not as legal advice. Have a lawyer in your jurisdiction review it — and add your registered business name, address and governing law — before you rely on it commercially.
